Keeping Asda Fresh
In early 2012, James Alpe Sign & Design was approached by produce and home retailer Asda, to provide a comprehensive recovery and repair service for a number of their home delivery vehicles in the northwest. This included re-livery and re-mounts as required, completed to the company’s precise branding specifications. Having demonstrated our proficiency, our allocation was increased substantially to incorporate service provision for further stores across the country.
Today we attend to delivery vehicles for close to 30 stores, working alongside fleet service providers FMG and acting as a centre-of-excellence ‘hub’ for much of the UK. A provision of several pool vehicles is permanently held securely on-site at James Alpe’s HQ location, ready to supply replacements to the main Asda depot in Leeds and other locations as required.
James Alpe’s complete service also encompasses large structural repairs and bodywork for damaged vehicles, and the supply of official Asda livery to other approved bodyshops. The frequent requirement to repair specialist composite panels, led us to invest in specialist equipment, including a vacuum press. As well as adding value to our own service provision, this has allowed us to supply other Asda repairers with high-quality panel fabrication that meets the standards expected.
